Saddle
Stitching
uses metal
staples in
the binding
process.
|
Saddle Stitching is an economical softbinding method chosen for multi-spread documents of 4 pages, which are printed, folded in the middle, collated in order, and finally wire stapled in the fold of the center spread. It is finished by trimming three sides of the document, top, bottom and face (the opposite side parallel to the spine). This method does not allow for spine imprinting.
Typical projects utilizing Saddle Stitching include:
- Brochures
- Catalogs
- Calendars
- Magazines
- Newsletters
- Pamphlets
- Programs
- Workbooks
